KInd Nobleman,
friends
If I, am to be accused of injustice
then I, as Thrasymachus once wrote
"proclaim justice is nothing else than the interest of the stronger"
To the many whom have veiwed these procedings
my case appears weak
I have no corraborating witnesses
nor, am I in speech, as grandiose and eloquent as my accusers
Alas, I know not the art of influence
sadlly, persuasion was not a vitrue taught me
by my simple yet beloved father
During this trial I have endured many former colleagues
and once Dear friends eviscerate what I, in my arrogance,
believed to be an indomitable and quite personal will
For, in my foolish arragance I believed in the concept of
TRUTH
it is now with abundant humility and clarity I now conceed
that TRUTH is only as strong as those who speak thereof
For, the DEFINITION of TRUTH is neither tangible NOR accurate
thus, TRUTH is defined by those who defend JUSTICE
and, with justice being the will of the STRONG, yet,
the albatross of the WEAK
a humble man cannot hope nor aspire to be TRUTHFUL
for, his humble words shall be consistenly defined by
those powerful men who give TRUTH its definition
Noblemen,
I am not embittered with thee
rather, I ENVY thee
there you sit
the products of impeccible timing, fortuitous fortune, and superior intellect
you are NOT and shall NEVER be amongst us
nor should you
for we the downtrodden whom you so graciously endure need
view of your lofty status
We, who toil at the base of the triangle, need tangible proof
that, at its apex, sit those Blessed men whom consult
with the gods
WE NEED HEROES
and you, Kind and Beneficent Noblemen are heroic
for YOUR TRUTH defines JUSTICE
and justice defines the lives of we, your envious public
For those of you in this Courtroom who know not the particulars
of this Trial, and , through your myopic view I appear courageous
I say this
COURAGE IS A VIRTUE LOST ON THE UNDESERVING
I, the accused, am tainted by my deeds, for our HEROES have so deemed
therefore, view me as I am
a miscreant whose treasonous folly raised the ire of those whom affirm
JUSTICE
PRAISE THE NOBLEMEN!
PRAISE THE NOBLEMEN!
for they are doing what we, in our idifference, REFUSE to do
they are SEEKING and IMPLEMENTING JUSTICE!
that I am a victim of said justice does not make martyrdom appealing
for,
THE MAN WHO WILLINGLY DIES FOR A CAUSE LIVES WITHIN
AN UNWILLING AND UNFORGIVING STATE OF ANARCHY
with exception of the most extreme circumstances
the WILL to live MUST be victorious over
the RIGHTEOUS desire to die
my death being assured
I have no grievences to utter
nor testimony to disprove
I, today, accept death as a consequence of my WORDS
words that some of my foolhardy brethren used in a foolish
and treasonous quest for LIBERTY
Ahhh..but is Liberty nothing more than the mist hovering above
Andean Hills?
the rising sun of JUSTICE evaporating said mist until
all that remains is the TRUTH
decreed by Noblemen whom we have come to adore and cherish
In closing, I ask with enduring love, those who find any
strength in my callous character to cast thine eyes away
from the man you THOUGHT you knew
and, in its place, accept the man I AM
Be assured, my impending death, is of the worst kind
for I, in seeking TRUTH, ignored the definition of JUSTICE
and what is JUSTICE, after all, when all it can ever hope
to reveal,
IS THE INTEREST OF THE STRONG!
I bid thee farewell...
