    Spanish Love Songs

    We danced
    I entranced
by the succulence of your lips
    your hips
    swayed
    as the band played
    a Spanish tune
    soon
my anticipation would meet our desires
    and a fire
    once contained
    would burst aflame
    illuminating the night
    I fight
to regain a modicum of self control
    and yet
    being somewhat bold
I allow my hand to brush
    against your breasts
    a test?
how far will I be allowed to go?
    you smile
and I stand bewitched and beguilled
    I file
    the moment
    your succulent lips
    the hips
    that sway
    the promsise of a foray
    into your gorgeous garden
    eating of a ripened fruit
containing the sweet nectar of the gods
    Apollo, Isis and Zeus
    a truce
    my friend
for, until this Spanish Love Song
    ends
    we cannot begin
    to send
messages our bodies long to receive
    and so, for now,
    I shall let you breathe
    a brief reprieve
    if you will
    to chill
    and contemplate
    the love we most certainly
    shall make
I peer into your eyes and imagine
    a lake
    canopied by tress and ferns
    two bodies intertwined
    searching for signs
    of souls that yearn
    to discern
    lust from love
    a dove
    settles upon a gazebo
    a stone's throw
    from where we stand
    as a man
in a tuxedo admires your lovely outlines
    but tonight
    you are mine
and it shall not be long
    for the band is ending
    their beautiful rendering
    of a Spanish Love Song
    Imagine,if you will
    a world with no pain
with you and I having the right
    to spend night upon night
    discovering special places
    a world with no traces
    of bitterness
    a world where only tenderness
    shall suffice
    a slice
    of Paradise
    with no illusions
    nor intrusions
    nor wrongs
a world of a lovely glade
    in the late afternoon shade
    where our love is made
    while listening to
    SPANISH LOVE SONGS
