    THE ROAD LESS TRAVELLED

to my lord the most high supreme i pray.

    oh how the finest gold

    has lost its luster

the many forked tongues speaking lies

    full of bluster

my  lord supreme you have redeemed my life

seeing the wrongs  did to me

be my judge to prove me right

our enemies are swifter than the eagle

many sitting on thrones of consecrated bones

    undeterred thinking they are regal

yet  we cant go into the streets

    without danger to our lives

children playing without fear in a playground

    to me would be paradise

and yes lord supreme i have faith

    though  many bonds unravel

always i will  stand with pride

and take the road less travelled

see them lying in the streets

old and young  boys and girls

    killed by the enemies sword

see  how fast the poison of hate is absorbed

the  old men no longer sit

    by the city gates

lamenting growing old in a world

    the offspring of hate creates

and the young no longer dance nor sing

no longer waiting expectantly for the news

    of a new born king

the houses of the holy once pristine

    are now neglected and  ramshackled

the time has come it seems

to take a road less travelled

a cloud of anger from the lord

    has overcast jerusalem

a hesitation in the voices of the chosen

    when they sing amen

    man against man

    fighting to control the kingdom

    copyrighting the lord supreme

adding to the word of god

    their secret addendums

and when the lord  rejects his own altar

for he despises the false worship

    of his people

who amongst you will be the first

to fit into the eye of a needle

    who amongst us will emerge

    from the hapless rabble

and have the courage to walk

    the road less travelled

    give  yourselves no rest

    from weeping day and night

let the tears fall down like a river

    dont be ashamed its  alright

    when you have calmed

rise in the night and cry to your lord

for you have found the road

    where once you were detoured

let us lift our hearts and hands

    to him in heaven

and sit with the chosen men and women

    sharing bread unleavened

for the time has come  to stand with pride

and discover the true word within our hearts

    where god resides

and yes i like you have heard the enemy

speak of us in words  not tactful

    but our redemption is near

for we had the strength to take

    the road less travelled

the lord supreme gave us the strength

to take the road less travelled

and no man can withstand his fury

glory be to the most high

    amen
