She is love
And I know it
The epitome
Of love is she
Abundantly
And yet,
Here I sit
Alone
Forlorn
Forsaking
The better parts of...me
Her friends whisper
That I'm a Wanderer
They miscontrue
My personality
A frown
Is bound
2 produce
Melancholy
I prefer in others
Frivolity
Hello, my friend
Happy 2 see you here
Uncanny how it seems
You always appear
But, then again
What would The Last Picture Show be
Without the company...
Of lonliness
Yes, we are alone
Save for 3 other lonely hearts
Dreading when previews end
And the movie starts
For then
Begins the countdown
Of another worthless night
I am
Certain
That I'm
A burden
So many others
Request your
Time
In the darkness
I gaze upon your countenance
So calm your expression
As I recall
Past crimes...
Perpetrated upon my heart
Share my popcorn
Please
Why don't you
I knew you were coming
So I buttered it
Lavishly
What better way
2 spend an evening
Watching The Last Picture Show
With my Dearest friend
Only
The
Lonely
Listen closely
And you can hear the sighs
Of 3 lonely hearts
Who slept much too late
And helplessly watched
As love passed them by
Thank goodness
The darkness cannot be penetrated
For,
It hides
The tears
In their eyes
Many sighs I know
From experience are 2 deep
For words 2 convey
What can't be said
What a heart refuses 2 say
And waking up
Full of hope and wonder
Only 2 realize tis is just..
Another
Rainy day
The movie
Is almost over
Please
If you will
Move much closer
Even strong men
Need a friend
2 shed tears
On a shoulder
My
Oh
My
Yes
What a grand orchestral score
The sound quality is such
I can feel the reverberation
Through the floor
Or..
Is that the sound of silence
During the closing credits
Of The Last Picture Show
No, I didn't drive
I thought
What an opportunity
4 my heart
2 revive
A cool autumn night of splendor
Northeastern winds
I can imbibe
But..I did not know
The forecast
Called for rain
Of course
I won't complain
4 though the rain
Chills me 2 the bone
I welcome certainly
Its everpresence
On the long, solitary
Walk
Home
It appears
The movie is over
The ushers I know
Are anxious 2 head home
I sometimes wonder
If they to watch
The Last Picture Show
Sitting
Forlorn
Forsaken
And all alone
Well
Give my best
2 other broken hearts
The rain
Won't let up
So i'd better start
A walk
Into the oblivion
Of an overcast
Autumn night
So long
My frind
Until
We meet again
Same place
Same time
Tomorrow night
I must say
With each encounter
I don't know
If loving her is wrong...
Or right
I've taken enough of your time
I'll let you go
Just promise
You will be here tomorrow
4
The
Last
Picture.....
Show
