open my heart
i see your face
then your smile is lost
without a trace
miles apart
nights bittersweet
still i try to sweeten our dream to taste
confined by time
lost in space
our circle complete
yet somehow erased
our motives undefined
running in place
how can we hope to win the race
orbiting the moon
true love we chase
only
i loose communication with your world
when i land at tranquility base
did we learn too much
too soon
at times our discord out of tune
yet still i sing amazing grace
once lost but now i have found
life without you is a worthless place
still i hear reverberate the shattering
of two hearts like a priceless vase
no one cares
ignoring the sound
summer nights once wrapped in lace
now isloated during winter
without your embrace
my emotions abound
running from gomorra
then foolishly i turn right back around
praying to the father
what am i to do
these thoughts i ponder
when i think of you
can we survive
another day
if our love song is now
the sweetest taboo
i walk around
quite subdued
how can my heart revive
if i find the right church
yet always sit in the wrong pew
a dove once plucked
an olive branch
loves purity like his feathers
pure white in hue
a second chance
to love again
yet storm clouds obscure this destination
as he flies helplessly above the mew
our love once the color of tangerine
you were my ray of sunlight
dancing on morning dew
now i see a fiend
in plain view
bragging about the dove of peace
he recently slew
driving through the town
trying to locate our love lost
yet inexplicably i turn back around
walking down my street
i see a piece of cotton candy gum discarded
a child refused to chew
did she not like the taste
should we continue
these thoughts i ponder
when i think of you
