How we came 2 be
I, interested in the love of you
your lovers curiosity
Utopia by love's demand
saturated by untruths
manipulated by a manic man
Hurt can never intensify
unless tears remain falling
from a lover's eyes
caught in a tempest
who can deny
the bridges burned
when love begins 2 cry
Simple 2 those who perceive
a love once full of life
now hopelessly bereaved
what I intended 2 be
perceptions from a mind once profound
now mired in webs of insanity
MIRRORS OF CONFLICTED SOULS
REVEAL IMAGES WE REFUSE 2 SEE
WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN
WHO WE REFUSE 2 BE
Mornings we forsake
such is love's fate
when Houses of the Holy
are built on land prone 2 quakes
exasperation
4 goodness sake
wish I could give you more
but fate
left nothing 2 take
Over rainbows we once wished
ignoring the downpours
from demonic outpours
our pores
now resist
the morning mist
Tears drying before
they caress our faces
love torn by jealousy
and other petty
disgraces
MIRRORS OF CONFLICTED SOULS
REVEAL IMAGES WE REFUSE 2 SEE
WHAT WE COULD HAVE BEEN
WHO WE REFUSE 2 BE
Taught 2 learn life's lessons well
fully prepared 4 the inevitable burns
when escaping our personal hell
blisters begin 2 swell
no one there 2 soothe our pain
2 ashamed 2 tell
I'll see you
on the dark side of the moon
hopefully
our communication will one day resume
roses once in bloom
now shredded and left 2 die
by the dog days of an August afternoon
MIRRORS OF CONFLICTED SOULS
REVEAL IMAGES WE REFUSE 2 SEE
WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN
WHO WE REFUSE 2 BE
