Living under no iilusions
only the gods know if we are a perfect pair
I your king arthur
you my queen guinevere
outside intrusions
often lead to trepidation
yet in our shared galaxy
you are my brightest constellation.
Echoes of
art nouveau
your perfect body a study of
floral curves and linear forms
thus
the tiara you adorn
was fitted
the day you were born.
Slipping into silence
when the world is a noisy cocaphony
when
he says
and she says
invades our reality
throughout loves history
idle gossip has been
the most demonic fiend
but you and I
are a team
so
let us slip inside of our dream.
There will be a poetry festival
on saturn
and I will be the host
people are in eager anticipation
for it is your verse they desire most
concentric circles
our love resembles saturn rings
so much joy
that you bring
your name the universe sings.
Does it truly matter
if we are admired by
ex
why
or zee
our bodies in the throes of passion
speak eloquently
of our veracity
never can love stand alone
and quell hostility
but with this quill
I truly believe
the gods of love are appeased.
Au contraire
mon frere
my brother
I am aware
of love denied mournful sounds
I have been at the apex
only to witness love come tumbling down
yet with a newfound
maturity
I willingly
become my queens consort
for
away from prying eyes
we taste vintage port
and stroll the beaches
at hyannisport
our eyes are not wide shut
we are both aware
life and love are not always as they seem
yet she and I
are a timeless love scene
when we
slip into our dreams
