As darkness encroaches
Apon a mildewed wind
Rank with the regretfull sobs of today
Tomorrow
Pauses to recall what should have been
And
What shall never be
For an echo reasonating from the voice
Of chance
Was foolishly interpreted by today
as tomorrow's call of love
Pleading with fickle fateToday barters his prideFor an exchange of slightly worn virtueHoping to impress tomorrowWith a Coat of ArmsBelonging not to his ancestryYet Tomorrow remains indifferent To the vanglorious yet vain Display of pantomimeAs todayExhausted and spentSuccumbs to the wishes Of darkness to vacate hopeAs chance reluctantly departsThe wails of tomorrow cannot Be calmed by angelic virtuesWhom were called to begin Preperation for a union endorsed by the SupremeForAs fate is left to chanceAnd today errs in his cadenceTomorrow is left with no choiceBut to remain out of touchAnd out of reachAlasAs today endsTomorrow begins her trek 'cross the cosmosAlone once againWith but a faint remembranceOf the man she so lovedA man left in the wilds Of yesterday Searching for light As darkness encroaches uponHis quest for visionFor all he remembers seeingOnce in a dreamWas the hem of tomorrows dressAs she departed without purposeAnd left without saying goodbyeToday...
