    MY CARRIBEAN PARADISE

    Paradise

    cold coconut juice

    and fried flying fish

    by the sea

    a shared kiss

    then a sigh

    as we

    delicately

    delve into extasy

    on my carribean paradise

    a sun kissed afternoon

    very little humidity

    lazily

    holding hands

    you and me

    strolling the beach and watching

    the  fisherman cast their nets

the angle of a sun ray reflects

    in your  beautiful brown eyes

    on my carribean  paradise

    leaving the world

    and its stress behind

    a  gentle caress

    of your body

then a touch of dark rum

    with a slice of lime

    ignoring the time

    on my carribean paradise

    the cruise ship departs

    and we are castaways

    listening to the ocean echos

    in walkers cay

    here in barbados

    my island by the sea

    a perfect getaway

    deciding to stay

    on my carribean  paradise

    strumming our fingers

    as calypso music plays

    feeling the ocean spray

    as we embrace

    you quietly hum

    i kiss  your lips

    flavored slightly with a hint

    of mt gay rum

    on my carribean paradise

    sweet cassava

    buying  ackee by the pound

waving and greeting the local men

they are so suave and gentlemanly

    just like  your dee

    the local  women so regal

    in bearing

    smile as if they know

    the secret we are sharing

we stop and converse with them

    on my carribean paradise

    soon the sun

    will set on the carribean

    do you recall

when we first met in cannes

when i locked eyes on you

    my heart raced

like  it was on the autobahn

    no speed  restrictions

    as the friction

of our love making  sent us away

    and now here we are

    making love in a cay

    on my  carribean paradise

    in the  hotel bar

    an impromptu mambo

    byron lee

    and the mighty sparrow

    sing  to miss mary ann

    i hold  your hand

and we dance through the night

    on my carribean paradise

    two castaways

    spending day after day

    making  sweet love

    thanking the  creator above

    as we watch the sunrise

    i kiss the happy tears

    in your eyes

    ready to begin  another day

    on my  carribean paradise
