when the tears have dried
we look inside
let enemies see all the flaws
we try 2 hide
and when you are down
tell them 2 bring their best
for eventually we all
will be laid to rest
when the pain subsides
we look inside
many times we have nothing left
but a sliver of pride
dont compromise
be hard 2 kill
for eventually
even your enemies
must submit 2 the fathers will
we know not the time
nor the way that we will pass
when all around will be toasting
your life
it comes and goes so fast
so while you are here
live this life without reservation
or fear
stand and proclaim your rights
despite the tears
stand tall and proud
rise above the crowd
dare to walk this road alone
if unhappiness resides in your home
for ultimately
what will be shall always be
many have eyes but cannot see
the lonely road you chose
2 walk alone
when the tears dried
i looked inside
this time i will not run
i refuse 2 hide
so enemies
come 2 me
with your anger and assaults
2 the world i will admit my faults
but know i will not die easily
the black pride inside of me
will live on
as will my words
when i am gone
when the pain subsides
i will look inside
and realize though i was very wrong
never did i not apologize
so what more can anyone take from me
my soul is finally free
i have given up all love 2 defend
now i refuse 2 bend
dear god
i am prepared 2 die
right here where i stand
not on my knees
for i am a man
though flawed and now faltered
i will not be willingly sacrificed
on anyones altar
of deceit
when i look inside
i feel pride
for no one but myself and the father
will dictate how and when i die
when you look at me
you see the prodcut of the fathers hand
though cursed by satan
never have i refused 2 stand
i am a man
have lived as a man
and if today i die
i will persish as a man
it is all that i am
