O' Mischievous One,
dare I confront kind Darius's
declaration of affection for thee?
Are such clumsy attempts of capricous passion
fun for thee?
So I see you hath timed my entrance into the Courtyard
to coincide with your embrace of kind Darius,
but, alas thy enactment of an Enchanted Love scene
seem lost on his chaste nature
My drunken and lecherous buddies are insistent
in their exhaltations but I did not descend to such lows
being privy in such delicate matters to your foolishness
I know of Darius well and am quite fond
of his devotion to family and just cause
Far be it for me to test the limits of his patience
for the desired prize, with respect due of course, pails
in comparison to my exertion
This I have discovered in various travels and trevails-
Men unconsciously fight until knocking on death's door
concerning matters of the heart
And Darius, kind and noble gentleman he is,
has a well founded reputation for succumbing to the
wiles of vanglorious vanity
Perhaps, Mischievous One
you are Nahemah, the princess of all Succubi
or, perhaps you are rather pale imitation thereof...
I know not which.
But, it is not for me to determine, for when you and I
blessed many a morning intertwined you were fresh
as the whisper of spring upon the Ides of March
What you hath lost is due not to age but lack of foresight
and an overabundance of misguided cunning
The one trick you hath perfected is quite effective
when dealing with over zealous colts such as young Darius
and no,
as a man of honor I shall not have his blood stain
the sword I've inherited from the men of my lineage
I only pray he shall awaken soon from Dreams of Falsehood
and aquire the seasoning necessary to repel delicious yet
diseased flesh such as yours
O' My Lady
what you once were!
What indeed you could have been if not for the gnawing of past guilt
upon your once pristine soul
These men who are besotted by your need for carnivorous copulation
are, truth be told, not men a'tall, but expectant boys masquerading
as Avengers of the Forlorn Princess
a role you play quite well...but only for an audience virginal in the
Theatre of the Absurd
O' Mischievous One
or should your name be Drusilla, sister of that decacent Emperor Caligula
do you not share her...ahem..virtues?
know that when he, in arrogance, appointed her permanence
in the Seat of Honor, the ruin to her reputation is being felt till this day
What appears to be affection can be misconstrued when the initial motive
is one of deparvity of the soul
And so,
My...ahem..Lady
I appeal to your soul at this moment..charred remain though it is
do not allow Darius to be victim of your lies upon my person
for, it is his life that shall be paid in recompence for services rendered
to the demons of Lust
It shall be a departure from your typical acts, I am sure, but
this land need men like Noble Darius
I, on the other hand, need not the neddlesome task of disposing
this meandering colt's corpse upon the cesspool of your heart
..and do so I shall, if he continues to annoy me with his
meddlesome smirk, and I, in a state of inebriation very seldom,
succumb to the whims of my more boisterous friends
...I wish you good day, and for young, kind Darius,
continued health
