Fam..Hello
In responding to my Madd Talented Sister 2(spittin tru fiya/makin the flow reach hiya/in Fort Myers) I spoke of a child named D'ee(yeah, it was me.LOL). A sensitvie little cat who had to die so I could survive the Jungle. Thinking about him(R.I.P.) inspired me to write this. Sister 2, I thank you for allowing me for one night to recall that cat. Much respect.
walking roads
with blistered toes
a winding road
I should not know
who holds the key to my Redemption
I hope I can survive
to be blessed
and yet be cursed
to hear the Song of God
yet forget the verse
Our Father
Who art in Heaven
my mother's hurt
my daddy's drunk
what shall I do?
a child can speak
but, what's the use
the fights
the pain
the physical abuse
leaves him afraid to face tomorrow
the burdens
and the sorrow
one night I dreamt that I stood
upon Hallowed Ground
the Sprits present
made not a sound
I was praying for redemption
were they seeking retribution?
never did I seek sympathy
was taught to love
yet, honestly
love was a mockery
God says
you reap what you sow
but Father
what happens to the tainted wheat that grows?
the farmer burns the tainted wheat
is that the Redemption
of which the Father speaks?
goodbye little guy
it's time for you..to..go
don't worry
no one cares
no..one...knows
oh,
some will laugh
and few will cry
Family will seek to justify
but remember him
in the silence of his death repose
his name was D'ee
the child...
with..the ..blistered toes
