Almighty God
as my years pass on I marvel
so many Blessings
I have been fortunate 2 receive
I think of my Mother
so wonderful and caring
saying
TRUST in The Lord
there are miracles 2 believe
I kiss my child
while she is sleeping sweetly
no greater joy than knowing
she belongs 2 me
I shed a tear
as I watch her quietly breathing
knowing her soul is kept
4 all eternity
Oh, Dear Lord
in times of hurt and sorrow
I called Your Name
and felt my soul at peace
earthly gain
has never been my purpose
4 in the end
the most shall be granted 2 the least
And,
though the world
know not who I am
I am Your child
I have Your smile
and though I have walked
through cities of the damned
with You beside me
I stood tall
and survived the fall
My Eternal Father,
before I sleep
I shall pray
4 all who weep
in Haiti
there's a child crying
4 his mother
let him know in Heaven
the two shall one day meet
4 all I am
and all I am 2 be
I give You Praise
until the end of my days
4 one fine day
I shall wake in the arms
of Jesus Christ
basking in the Light
of Paradise
AMEN
